Cervical disc disease

Cervical disc disease is a degenerative or traumatic condition of the intervertebral discs in the cervical spine. It causes neck pain, stiffness, and often referred pain or numbness in the upper limbs due to nerve root compression. It may be associated with a herniated intervertebral disc. Diagnosis is based on clinical examination and imaging studies. Treatment may be conservative or surgical.
