Cauda equina syndrome

Cauda equina syndrome is a serious neurological condition caused by compression of the nerve roots at the lower end of the spinal cord. It presents with severe low back pain, weakness in the lower limbs, and bladder or bowel dysfunction. It is a medical emergency. Immediate surgical treatment is required to prevent permanent damage.
