Disc prolapse


Disc prolapse is the displacement or protrusion of an intervertebral disc beyond its normal position.
It may compress nerve structures and cause pain, numbness, or weakness.
It most commonly occurs in the lumbar and cervical regions of the spine.
Treatment may be conservative or surgical depending on the condition.
