Sports-related spinal injuries
Sports-related spinal injuries include injuries that occur during athletic activities and affect the vertebrae, intervertebral discs, muscles, and ligaments. They may result from overloading, poor technique, sudden movements, or direct trauma. The most common symptoms are lower back or neck pain, stiffness, and restricted movement. Treatment depends on the severity of the injury and includes conservative management, physiotherapy, and in rare cases, surgical intervention.
