Joint laxity
Joint laxity is the increase in distance or looseness within a joint, usually due to injury, overloading, or ligament laxity. It can cause pain, a feeling of “instability,” and limitation of normal movement. Treatment includes rest, physiotherapy, strengthening of surrounding muscles, and in severe cases, surgical intervention to stabilize the joint.
