Hemarthrosis

Hemarthrosis is the presence of blood within a joint, usually as a result of injury, such as a ligament tear or fracture. It causes pain, swelling, and restricted joint movement. Treatment depends on the underlying cause and may include rest, ice therapy, medication, or drainage of the blood from the joint.
