Angiogenesis

Angiogenesis is the process by which new blood vessels are formed from pre-existing vessels. It is a fundamental mechanism in wound healing and tissue regeneration. Adequate blood supply contributes to the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to tissues. Angiogenesis plays an important role in both physiological and pathological healing processes.
