Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)

The anterior cruciate ligament is located in the knee and stabilizes the joint by limiting anterior translation of the tibia. Injuries or tears can cause instability, pain, and restricted movement. Treatment may include physiotherapy or surgical reconstruction depending on severity.
